About the Products

Throughout her travels Gardy Bloemers visited some of the finest old and new stables throughout Europe, UK and the United States and finds that those elements essential to the horseman and horse have changed little during the last three hundred years. Stall sizes, for example, have not changed dramatically. Tack rooms continue to feature as a focal point in the stable. Stables do differ, however, in terms of the beauty of the actual structure and its contents.

The chandeliers in the Royal Mews in London and those in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna are exquisite. Nevertheless, a saddle rack is what it is whether it is in Saumur or Wellington. However, since the late 1800s when automobiles replaced the horse and carriage, the craftsmanship evidenced by antique stable wares is not easy to find.

As more and more people also use their barn as offices, guest accommodation or for relaxation, the separation between home, office and barn is less apparent. As a result, Gardy Bloemers brings to you a differentiated and unique range of equine-inspired furniture and fittings ranging from tables to hooks to brackets, which are perfectly suitable for use in both the stable and home.

Each piece is indispensable while sophisticatedly utilitarian, and hence the items we designed are known as "The Essentials." Our bridle-cleaning hook, for example, can also be used in the kitchen as a place on which to hang pots and pans. Some of the pieces we discovered are so distinctive yet so difficult to find in good condition, we have brought them to life again, such as the Ottley Table.
